Long shot... Looking for 2g stud for next year
-
Had two 2g and a 2g quality colt test superior to my current 2g stud and my two year old... Looks like my 2g herd is getting a change in stallions... but my little guys still have till December to grow. If I have to go with what I've got, I'm trying to decide if I should let my mares keep their full pasture bonuses and use the upcoming three year old since he is a little better that the older stud, or should I do stall breeding with a stallion up for stud. But to make things simple I'd like to buy one for next year at least. Looking far a EE sooty sooty with dun. Preferably no appaloosa or white marking genes other than splash or white 20. If anyone has one they would be willing to sell let me know, Mid to high B range, or I really don't solve any problems. I know this is a tall order, but I thought Id put out some feelers to see if there were any out there. Let me know your price.

Thanks Jezmy, though I am looking for someone to breed my mares to next year as I wait for yearling colts to mature.
-
Wildland he isn't exactly what you are looking for but he is superior to his sire.

Here is one of my studs that you could use maybe. He is sty and has w2. Not exactly everything but see what you think.

Thanks Best I might think about using Blues. It is a little intimidating trying to judge a horse I can't comparison test to, but I may just have to go that route. I thought my stallions were really great at first, but then things didn't add up with the best of pastures, and then these superior colts... tuns out my stud I've been using is only aga my foundation stud even though he is B papered! LOL, but that aside, I probably ought to look into horses up to stud, cause although the two year old is superior to my foundation, he is still only aga my current 2g.

i also have this guy id be willing to sell for 3000

Hmm, I'm going to have to think about him. Wish he had some sooty, but most of my mares are sooty sooty, and it is just one year... Would I be able to send him back to you afterwards, Jezmy?
-
Ok just let me know. I know he isn't exactly what you were looking for. My only other 2g stud is Pearlotta.

of course, it could be like leasing him in real life lol that would be fine with me :-) glad i could possibly help youCelestial Performance Horses

I looked through the sales list and found a couple you might be interested in
http://hj2.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=363299 Has EE SstySsty and Dun
http://hj2.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=385261 Has Ee SstySsty and Dun -
Neither of these boys is exactly what you're looking for...but they are both mid to high level Bs with a proven track record of foals on the ground. Both have pretty good AFPTs and have intact offspring remaining in my herd. If you are interested in either, I will make you a deal. I will say that neither quite lives up to my highest standards for a gen 2 stud.

Thanks Hayes, I had looked at the top one before. Looking up at him again I'm thinking I might be in a spot after the next auction that I might as well buy him and then comparison test to see if he will work. Concerned about the fact that the lower one has never produced even a B col yet.
-
Cheers, wow. True, neither is quite what I'm looking for color wise, but they are proven with those A papered sons. Have one of Train's daughters already, crazy colored grullo with a solid grey tail and black mane. The other is nice too, like the EE on him. Have to do some thinking, but I think I want one of them, just trying to decide which one.
-
Please do remember Wildland that all of my non-straw bred foals are pasture bred with the full bonus. This significantly increases the overall quality of my foal crops....

I have this stallion. He is not 100% what you're looking for (a foundation roan stallion), but he is pretty close. I would consider selling him if you are interested enough.

His genetics are as follows:
EE AA CCcr dd gg ff SstySsty pp KitrKitw20 WF: Minimal -
I have this one , he's 2G and has EE and StySty , he is in auction thought so you'll have to bid , http://hj2.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=565121

This guy is Ee, and has tobiano, so probably won't suit.. But he is a high B, and has dun. I won't sell him outright, but if you like to borrow him to put him in with your pasture mares to breed them you are welcome!

Thanks everyone for your offers! I am looking for a 2g I can breed not month. Thanks Stunner, he is pretty, but only a foundy.
Mystic, he is a bit young, but nice looking. Trying to decide if that boy has DP from his father or not.
Kintarra, he is todiano, but I do like how he has two sooties. As I am hoping to get extra dark duns by adding DP eventually that really helps. Certainly would love to sell him back, though as Ammit warns, don't let horses you are too fond of keeping out of your stables. Right now yours and Cheers's boys are the ones I'm considering most. -
Hey Wildland this stud of mine might work. He has everything you are looking for. He is grullo.

All dun StySty. One is a liver, other two fit what you're looking for. If you're interested in the ones that aren't listed for sale let me know, I'd be happy for you to use them!
