On the 1st and 15th of every month a random set of 5 genes is selected for a special sale. You can add this gene to a horse of your choice. You will also receive a license for that gene allowing you to purchase and breed horses with that gene. You never know what gene will come up next or how long they will stick around.

You may modify the genetics of any horse you own that is a foundation, unbred, and gene tested. To make the horse homozygous for a gene, add strand one to the cart, then return to this page to add strand two. For a complete list of RGS alleles click here.

HMGA2 Height Regulator

Gene Example and Info: This gene causes a reduction in height. Each copy reduces height by 1 to 2 hands. Two copies has a more dramatic result. Warning this gene can produce undersized horses that are too small to be shown. This gene is closed. You will receive a breeder's license for this gene when you make this purchase. Gene Example and Info: Onyx is fantasy variation of the dun gene. It creates bold body stripes and face masks. It needs one copy to show and is reduced in visual intensity by nd1 and dun. Snowdrop

Gene Example and Info: The snowdrop allele is a cream gene mutation functionally the same as the pearl allele. It restricts pigment body wide. It requires two copies to show or can create a pseudo-double dilute effect when paired with the cream allele. Will also create a pearl effect when combined with pearl or sunshine alleles. This gene has no sharing restrictions.

Splash White 3

Gene Example and Info: This rare variant of splash causes bold white face and leg markings but is lethal when homozygous making it a challenge to breed for. Counts as a pinto gene. This gene has no sharing restrictions.

Rainbow Riot Paintbrush Warm

Gene Example and Info: The paintbrush fantasy genes will paint a horse's mane and tail with streaks of color. One copy of Warm or Cool adds one color, two copies of Warm or Cool adds two different colors. Prism adds a rainbow effect. Only requires only copy to show but it is more vivid with two copies. Note: Paintbrush will only show if added to the primary DNA set on chimeric horses. It does not show on secondary DNA. This gene is closed.
