Extension & Tobiano Link?

I was just reading something on another horse forum, and silly me I exited out of it, but it was stating something about knowing if the foal would be homozygous Tobiano based upon the base color - red based wouldn't, black based would be?

Not only are extension and tobiano linked in real life they are in the game as well.
