You shouldn't sell for less than 2500. You can get 2500 by putting them into the public auction. Some people will take advantage of the low price and buy them just to put them in the auction right after buying them (and make 1500hbs by doing so).Thanked by 1supersarah

I second what Hayes is saying.
It's always tempting to snatched cheap horses to "flip them" but I don't like to cheat players (especially new ones) out of the extra money and i don't like it when people flip my horses.
If you can't sell him for 2600 (that how much it cost to keep others from flipping them) then out him in auction yourself----

I don't consider it taking advantage of or cheating. But yes you can get yourself more money in the auction and you should expect anyone who buys a horse for less than 2500 to auction it.
