Opinions on my Game Plan

Hello everyone! So I am currently saving IVs for a basic upgrade (I'm a third of the way there woohoo) and once I purchase the basic upgrade I am going to start seriously breeding my barn. I was thinking I should start out with one perfect foundation stallion and fifty perfect foundation mares and get the full pasture bonus then breed them, test the foals and breed the second generation foals when they are old enough and so on for as many generations as possible. Is this a good plan or should it be revised? Thank you all for your input.

Sounds like a good plan to me. Buying some rank specials could also do you well but they are expensive and you may not have the hbs after you purchase the upgrade. That could be a long term goal though!Owner Of Bellwether Farm

That sounds like a good starting point! I know lots of us on here have started with goals similar to that. Just make sure you put your foals through all available testing to weed out the poor breeders. If you are looking for specific colors, you can put out a wanted post in the forum or on the facebook page and see if anyone has anything they can sell you.
The biggest way to keep your stable growing is to have show horses. While horses tend to gain points slowly during their younger years, they can really become profitable when they hit their stride (typically anywhere from age 8 and up). I believe there is a buddy chat for new players looking to adopt show horses, so you can get some money earners right away. Don't worry about a horse's profit or loss, it is truly all about points. They earn HBs daily at a percentage of their total points. For instance, my horses all together have a total of over 270,000 points and that earns me almost 30k every single day! Multiply that by 7 days and add the 25k every Sunday for my premium membership and that is 235k a week! That can get me 18 IVs which means in just under four months, if I don't spend or make any more money, I would have enough to get a 1000 stall barn. :) That means more show ponies! That means more money! That means more barns!... Once you get a good show herd, you can let them rack up the points and breed to your heart's content.Specializing in W8, W3 & Kit M Cream & Pearl draft horses.

Don't bother worrying about perfect foundations. Just any foundation put through testing will do.
