Just more proof that mares with extremely low PT that pass SBA should seriously be considered as high quality broodmares..
Ive bred a number of mares with PTs below 5 and they all produced amazing PTd foals that also passed SBA. Some produced foals with PT over 10.
Today, I created some mares and got a mare with a PT of 0.5. So I thought I would test my theory again ..and bred her to one of my studs whose PT is 9.9 and this is the gorgeous little girl they produced...Note the PT of 10.3, she has passed SBA..and papered RED

So a lesson to be learned..dont knock the low PT horses if you're looking for quality breeders. If they pass SBA..you could end up with some amazing foals. Ive been breeding low PT mares since I started and its been working really well for me. :)Champion Appaloosas -
Those are foundation mares. They get an exception. :P
