Showing levels?
  • What does 8L mean vs 1N? For example?
  • 8L is showing Grand Prix at a local level while 1N is showing inhand at a national level.

The higher the number, the higher level of showing you are doing and higher the fees.

If you click the "showing" tab on the sidebar and "my showing entries" it gives you 2 charts listing the levels with class fees and # of horses that can enter each show
  • Ok thanks! Which way do they progress? 1L to 2L to 3L ... 8L then 1N to 2N etc? or 1L to 1N to 1W then 2L to 2N to 2W?
  • 1Local > 1 Regional > 1 National > 1 World > 2 Local > 2 Regional > etc...

You wouldn't show Local Grand Prix and then go back to showing inhand regional.
  • Ok another question- I have this filly Kharma. She showed twice, won both. 1L and then 1R. Now she's Green U/S Local. Why? Shouldn't she have gone all the way up to world before she went U/S?
  • @Heritage that depends on her pt, or how well she trains! Sometimes horses go from 1L to 2L after one training session. Horses with a small pt will sometimes be stuck in the first level of shows for quite some time. After training, it can take a little while for the game to realise the horse has been trained and kick it up to where it belongs, so if there's a delay in increasing of levels it'll be because of that.

  • Ohh ok thanks! So its more based on her training than how she shows.
  • Yes. Every horse adds points to its potential show score each time it is trained. How much is added is related to its PT score--the higher the score, the more points will be added, generally speaking.

All the grades (Local, Regional, National, World) in Level 1 fit into a range of 10 points. Once a horse's score reaches 11 or higher, it moves into Level 2 Local. After this, until you get into Level 6, there is a 10 point spread in every level/grade, so it may take more than a single training before a horse moves out of 2L into 2R, for instance. From Level 6 on up to 8W, there will be a spread of more than 10 points per level/grade.

I can't give you any more specific idea about how many points a horse gains per training in this game, because I have no idea. I started playing many years ago with Hunt and Jump 1, and had to keep track of every horses scores weekly to avoid losing money, so I know what happens there. In this game, because the game year is half as long as it is in HaJ1, I know that horses gain more points per training for each PT score, but I've never had to keep track of it, because I jumped immediately to what is now the Premium Upgrade as soon as I started playing, and have just let the auto-shower that comes with keep track of when to show my horses. :D
