CHA Certification

I made it through day 1 of 5 of the CHA Riding Instructor Certification! Passed the written test and made it through my evaluation ride with minimal incidents (let's just say my selected horse and I had a disagreement on how to ride the right lead canter...) Tomorrow is going to be a long day of teaching and riding #:-S Can it be Friday already? :|

You've got this! Good luck! Hope your next catch ride is more cooperative!Thanked by 1AHayesHorses

Wtg! And just remember, take a deep breath and try and let that frustration slip away. If you relax and concentrate, you should pass with your sanity hopefully intactProducer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.

Thanks everybody! I just finished day two and I taught a 15 minute level 1 mock lesson on trotting circles as well as a 15 minute level 3 unmounted lesson on care of equipment/equipment management :) I felt pretty good about both and got some good feedback. Tomorrow we have our mid-clinic evaluations so I'm nervous to see what the evaluators say. Tomorrow I teach a 15 level 2 mock lesson on the 1st canter so crossing my fingers it goes well!

Congrats

Tomorrow is the last day! It looks like I will pass as a level 2 instructor (which is ok but I would have preferred level 3). I am dead exhausted from this week. Then first thing Saturday morning, my dad is driving me and all my stuff back home to Michigan for good! Goodbye Ohio (finally :P )

Well done! I hope this last day is going well for you.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

I hope your last day went well! Safe travels from Ohio! I actually live by Columbus :)Thanked by 1AHayesHorses

Thanks :) It did go well. I didn't certify at level I was expecting so I'm kinda bummed out but at least I'm certified, so it's a start

Congratulations on passing even if you didn't hit as high a level as you wanted to. Perhaps, after you've gotten some experience and perhaps some more riding training as well, you can try again.

Thanks, I am definitely planning on that :)

Glad you passed hon! And as Sandy said, with a little more experience I'm sure you can move up a level. Drive safe tomorrow.Thanked by 1AHayesHorses
