What is bulk stable management?
-
Just curious on what it is and why it does.
-
Bulk stable management is a recently introduced set of tools that Ammit has given us to help large stables, especially, to take care of common tasks quickly. Here are some of them.
You can test all or many of the horses in a barn by selecting them with the Move tool at the right above the list of horses, then scrolling down to the bottom of the page and clicking each of the tests you want to apply in turn. (When Ammit first set this up, I kept forgetting to select the horses and then wondering why no tests were done. :\"> )
We can copy tack and tattoos from one horse to another, and Ammit has announced Bulk versions of this, but it's not something I have used.
We once had to turn off testing on horses individually, if we didn't want to accidentally perform a test on them because their name was found on a list. Now we can turn testing off for a whole barn with one click, and turn it back on again in the same way.
Some time ago, Ammit introduced a feature for testing and entering horses into Breeders Clubs. We could test one horse and then quickly hold down the Enter key on the keyboard and the game would run through the list of untested horses very quickly. It wasn't much slower than the new bulk testing option, but now we don't have to work so hard, and it's something that can be done easily on a mobile device.
De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

How long does testing take?
-
It sometimes takes a second or two for the results to load, but it is almost instant.I was jllewis on the old forum.
