I understand that inconsistent horses is not good but can they be decent show horses?

Yes, they can be great show ponies. Their scores won't be as even as consistent horses but that may mean that they have an upward swing at the right moment and score better than their more even counterparts.
Remember showing success is a lot about luck, not just straight PT score. Some horses with high PTs are just unlucky, while others with lower PTs just seem kissed by the gods...

Today is the very last day of breeding season. Don't forget to finish your breeding, remove foals from pastures, and enter clubs.
