Well, I almost got killed by a tree once. Me and some friends were floating the river in early September, the year after a particularly snowy winter. The river wasn't particularly high, but it had flooded badly earlier in the summer. We had tied ourselves together so we wouldn't get separated from each other (or the beer cooler). Well, we were floating along, drinking and having a good time when we rounded a corner and saw a large tree, uprooted and lodged on a gravel bar in the middle of the river. The stream was being split around the roots, and, as bad luck would have it, two of us got swept the opposite direction of the rest. None of us were wearing life jackets, and trying to paddle against the current was an exercise in futility, so I jumped off of my tube and gave it a big push. This freed it, and the other girl from the current and she got pulled along with the others. I, however, got caught in the current and slammed up against the tree roots. I hung on, getting shoved harder up into the tree all the while. Then, in a moment of inspiration, I swung myself around behind the tangle of roots, getting out of the current. From there, I was able to climb up on top of the tree trunk and walk to the gravel bar, where the rest of my crew had beached to come help me. We got back on the tubes, got more beer, and continued down to our destination. Didn't really even think about what could have happened to me until much later. I still like to float the river, though. I guess I'm a slow learner :)Thanked by 1ConfluenceFarms

Well how I met my fiancé and had a baby is a pretty wild story lol
Okay so I was 17 and I met him (he was 15 at the time) on Facebook ( note we didn't have any mutual friends and he lived in North Carolina while I was in Minnesota) we literally talked for 3 days and he asked me to be his girlfriend. After almost a month of us dating he asked me if I would fly out to go meet him in person. I convinced my mom to let me go but I had to ask my dad if it was okay but I lied about it. I had said I was going to the beach with a friend I had met in track and I was talking about his little sister who was 7 lol. So he said I was an adult and can do as I please. So when I was on the flight my mom had told him the real reason why I went down to North Carolina and he was ferrous!! I stayed their for 5 days and on the third day there everything went bad really fast and I flew home pregnant (I didn't know it at the time) but his mother was sending me pregnancy tests that kept coming up negative and I actually had to go to the dr to find out. After being pregnant for about 2 and a half months I was in a bad living situation with my family and I had ran away from home all the way back to North Carolina and after my mom found out I was here she had sent the police out for me and took me to a juvenile detention center (juve jail) and I spent 2 weeks there because I kept fighting the court to stay in NC and get emancipated even though it was pointless because I would be 18 by the time it went through. So I just went back to Minnesota while my parents put a restraining order on my boyfriend who was trying to keep the unborn child and I safe. I wasn't able to talk to him for months and I would borrow people's phones to call him although I was being watched literally 24/7. So after about 4 months I managed to convince my mom that I needed my phone so I could stay in touch with my boyfriend and keep him updated on the baby. So June of 2014 I had my little daughter but he couldn't be there for the birth and it had broke my heart he couldn't be there to support me. But after a week and a half I turned 18 and on my birthday I left home with my new born baby and moved to North Carolina and the day I moved in he had asked me to marry him. Tada!! That's my crazy wild story :) -
