I really like this mare should I boost?
-
I really like this mares coat she is from RS parents and I don't normally breed for silver bays she is DP I think with double sooty but failed regular breeding advice so she might need a lot of boosts what would you do? She is just so pretty I wish she would have made it

I would probably just leave her as a pretty show horse. You'll get others like her. Try the same pair again next season maybe?Owner Of Bellwether Farm

Ok yea I think ill do that thank you :)
-
You own both parents and they're both pretty young, so if you really like how this mare turned out I'd spay this one and just keep redoing that pairing. It would probably be cheaper to get a quality intact foal from those 2 horses and do a bit of GMT work on the foal if needed than it would be to boost this filly.
-
Yes you are right Windward I think ill do that next season I hope I get a foal that's around same height maybe taller that has all the genes this one has but I'm probably going to have to GMT the foal
-
Even if you need a few GMTs it'll probably still be cheaper since 10 GMTs and one 5% breeding boost cost almost the same price, and I doubt you'd need all 10 GMTs to get the foal how you want it.

Yes that's very true :)
