Any interest in 3G hom snowflake het S+ draft colt?
-
I got this draft colt from my 2G hom snowflake boy yesterday. He's hom snowflake and het Sooty+. He is only B papered at 3G but he comparison tests as superior to his sire and AGA a low A papered colt, so he's pretty close to A papered. He's also hom PATN1 and since I'm not big on hom PATN1 or leopard Appaloosas, he is for sale. I have no idea what he's worth so just make me an offer if you're interested. I'm willing to sell to non snowflake owners but he will cost a lot more, I will sell him for significantly cheaper to snowflake owners.

I also have a second hom snowflake het Sooty+ 3G B papered draft colt and this one is hom appy instead of het. However, this one only comparison tests AGA sire and not superior. If any snowflake owner wants him to boost or something I will sell him to you for cheap, otherwise I will snip him and put him in my show string. I won't sell this one to non snowflake owners since he's really not good enough to leave intact without a boost so I don't want to let him go to non snowflake owners the way he is now.

I will give you 100k for him
-
I'm assuming that's for the first one with the leopard appy pattern that's superior, correct? Because if it's for the second one I'm only looking for a few thousand for that one lol would not be comfortable accepting that much for colt #2 since that one is not superior to sire.

yes for happen x sobriety, sorry I have senior moments sometimes lol

AGA means As Good As sire
-
AGA stands for as good as. When you do a comparison test between 2 stallions (let's call them stallion X and stallion Y), you get one of 3 messages. It says "Stallion X is worse than stallion Y", "Stallion X is about as good as Stallion Y", or "Stallion X is superior to Stallion Y". In order to keep a colt intact most people will require it to paper better than its sire or comparison test as superior to its sire or pass SBA. Some people who want to be very strict will want a colt to paper better than its sire and comparison test as superior in order to keep it intact. If a colt papers better than its sire but comparison tests as good as its sire, that means that the colt is better than the sire but only by a little bit. If a colt is the same paper level as its sire and comparison tests AGA its sire, the colt is either exactly the same as its sire, a little bit better, or a little bit worse. If a colt passes SBA, that means that it's either as good as its sire or better, but it's not worse than the sire. Not 100% sure on the SBA stuff though since I don't have access to SBA with my basic upgrade.
In the case of the second colt I posted he is the same paper level as the sire and comparison tests AGA his sire. This means he could either have exactly the same breeding ability as his sire, or be a little better or a little worse than his sire. I don't have a premium upgrade so I don't have access to SBA. If the colt passed SBA, that would mean that he's either the same as his sire or a little bit better. If SBA snipped him, that would mean that he's a little bit worse than his sire. -
@Beadingterri, he is yours! Do you have a buddy chat you can add me to? I don't have my own since I only have a basic upgrade.
-
yes I do, here is the link -http://hj2.huntandjump.com/buddy_chat.php?chatid=2
Thank you very much for the colt :) -
Hmm I can't seem to get the link to work.
-
I'd love to have your second colt and don't mind boosting him. I only have het snowflakes at the moment, so if you're uncomfortable with that I understand.
-
Whoops, guess it'd probably help to be logged into my HJ account lol. Its working now
-
I picked him up, thanks again :)
-
@Reinberri, het snowflake is totally fine! And you don't have to boost him if you don't want to, feel free to leave him how he is now if you want. It's just that he's not better than his sire the way he is now. Especially because I don't have access to SBA so I don't know if he'll pass that the way he is now or if he'd need a boost to get through SBA. That's the only reason why I didn't want to sell him to anyone who didn't have any snowflake horses already, because if doesn't get a boost and it becomes clear that he's worse than his sire once he starts having foals, someone who owns no other snowflakes might still want to keep him intact even if he's not very good. Whereas someone with other snowflakes, even if they're only het, would be more likely to go ahead and geld him if he's worse than his sire. Of course, if he receives a boost then it wouldn't matter, but I don't feel comfortable selling him with the requirement that he has to be boosted since that costs real money.
-
Ah yes I understand that. :) Well let me know what you'd like for him, as I'd love to have him. I'm probably going to boost him just to be on the safe side. Would rather spend a little extra and have him be a better producer.
-
@Reinberri, I'm thinking definitely under 10k and probably around 5k since he's only AGA sire right now so I wouldn't think he'd be worth much more than show prospect price. Does that work for you?
-
If you happen to have any other snowflakes for sale, I'd be happy to buy one or two from you. I have 5 heter snowflakes now & working on a 6th one. Having trouble getting it to pass sba. :(
-
My het snowflake mares are all still too young to breed, so I don't think I'll get any more snowflakes this year. I got these colts by breeding my 2G hom snowflake stud to a couple of 2G het snowflake mares that the owner was kind enough to put up for buddy breeding for me. I can offer you straws to my 2G hom snowflake stud though if you're interested.
-
I'm totally fine with 5k. :) Let me know when you're going to put him up and hopefully I'll get to him before someone else snatches him up. Lol!
-
If your still offering straws next season, I will probably try and get a couple from you. I have 2 Heter SF fillies that will be breeding age then.
-
Reinberri, I sent you a PM. :)
@MistStables, I have no plans to stop selling straws from my snowflake boy anytime soon, so just let me know if you want some next season!
