Think this mare is het DP
-
I bred her with a straw last season and she threw a beautiful liver filly, this season I bred her to the same stud and she threw a dark palomino filly

Her mom is het dp, so she must be, too :)
-
No she' not DP because she is homozygous sooty, if she was DP too she would be chocolate palomino like this mare, the DP came from the stallion on the liver foal.

I think it's the Sire 2G Dark Wine. He is a liver from 2 liver parents.
-
Just because her foal is liver doesn't mean the foal is HOM DP. The filly could be het DP. The other dark foal I think is just HOM sty. The filly might be able to have one copy of DP added from her sires side
-
Like NorthernStars said, if this mare had dp she'd be a chocolate palomino, because she's ee SstySsty. The boy you bred her to (I think I have the right horse) is an actual liver, so you know for certain he has dp and will pass it on.Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.
