What is your alls opinion on him? The good the bad and the ugly please? I am wanting to know if you think I could get to produce a star son? He is right now in with mares that are red and blue papered. They will have 30 days in pasture before I breed them.

I want to know if I am doing right by him.
  • You have to link to your public member page not your private one. :)

I would guess it is impossible for him to produce a star with a red mare. It would depend how strong the blue mares are. Have you comparison tested him to any other A papered studs? His AFPT is on the low side so I would guess he is a low A but comparison testing will tell you more. He's never produce a 12 PT foal which is the range you want to see for studs you want to get stars from.
  • Breeding him to red mares probably has pulled his AFPT down though, so it is hard to tell. People have had luck with his colts throwing stars, so he can't be too low an A. The thing is, have you gotten superior to sire colts from him that also paper A? Doesn't mean you can't get star, but I would suggest breeding him to blue mares from blue 3g mares, and hopefully that will have them hold their part of the line too. Even with that, I am finding star difficult, with 2 star 5g boys and 2 gold 6g mares.

I was already taking that into account. :)

The very lowest A stallion can produce sons that produce stars. So that doesn't tell you anything.

If this happens it means he is not a really high A but could still be low or medium.

    from blue 3g mares

The generation is totally irrelevant in trying to get stars. The game doesn't know what generation a horse is.

He is superior and was an embryo baby. He tested A.
  • If he has a superior son who is also A papered I would say he is mid to low A then. And the son would be mid to high A. Good blue mares with a full pasture bonus is your best chance for a star or gold baby,

  • I have a *Star colt (used to be 2) out of his son. He may produce *Star colts with the right mares I got a *Star out of a 4G A stud to a Blue mare with no pasture bonus. With a high enough mare he may do it. I hope he does even if his A sons are pretty great.
  • Thanks. It would be nice to get my first star baby from Joey or one of Halloween Dancers boys.
  • I hope you get one. It was a major shock for me to get any/all of my *Star and *Golds. I think Joeys Phase's first star colt Joeys Giant is a low-medium range *Star cause he hasn't produced a *Star or *Gold yet even though he's superior to his sire but we'll see when I get him to his *Gold half sisters. My 4G A stud just randomly produced one with a mare I already had him to. He gave me a lower foal the first time with her and a *Star the second both out of live covers. So you might get some from Dream if he's to the right mares who knows though.
  • That gives me some hope.
  • His sons are papering A. Gonna compare one that I like to see if he is at least superior to him.
