I think that's just his markings with the shading. :)

It is definitely the shading in the brown above his cheek. That used to be a single black line, so the upgrade in shading is a plus for me. I do see the odd little brown streak continuing into the white on his muzzle.

If you're unhappy with how he looks, you can always reroll his portrait from his control panel. It costs 100 hbs, but that's not a bad price.

Here's another bay splash tobi foal where the shading seems to have pulled the color down from the cheek. It doesn't always happen.

For myself, I would probably wait until the foal turns two and gets his adult look and then decide about rerolling. It might not look so strange on an adult head. Marks can be much more prominent on foals, especially on the face, in real life. Here's a link to a foal born at the therapeutic riding program where I volunteer.



Now that he's grown up, that huge star on his forehead fits much better on his face. I don't have a picture of him grown up, though, so I can't link to one.

I'm fairly sure it's not shading. I'm not talking about the shading of the cheek, though the marking does follow that line. Here's a close up (aka zoomed in and pixelated) of the marking, it follows the shading line most of the way and then tapers off into small circles.



I'm officially looking at this way too hard. I'm not gonna re-roll, it doesn't bother me nearly enough, I just thought it was interesting.
