How many Rank Specials is it OK to make?

Sorry for all the questions! Guess I'm quite the newbie :)) But i was wondering, with all of these rank specials coming up during the fall festival, how many should I create? Is it considered selfish or inconsiderate to create more than one? Or is it just a first come first serve kind of thing?

First come first served. Some people will even create a horse, find out they don't like the combination of genes, and then sell it off.
