  • Fall in my household is consumed by big game hunting season, so that's my inspiration. Names have been changed to protect the guilty. ;)

Twas once a young husband named Paul
Who hunted the big game all fall
    He left his wife home
    Who sat all alone
which wasn't fun for her at all

Because when it rains, at least the grass grows!
  • I can not get an image to show here on the forum. I have tried all the ways I know to get the image to show, and it just does the box with the 'x' in it and says image. I know it is operator error on my part. So here is my entry in a link. It is an oil painting that I whipped out this evening, after a painting I did years ago. I added a couple of horses to the theme. It is still wet, so the photo shines back at the camera a bit. http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k208/paint2ways/Denices paintings/Oil paintings/2d017602-eed2-4540-bcec-b25ca42d0973.jpg

  • Early morning dew
    Sparkling in the rising sun
    Ripe berries glisten

    Leaves rustling, falling
    Colorful decorations
    Autumn foliage

    Gathering above
    A final chorus resounds
    Birds saying goodbye

  • I make chainmaille and wire jewelry, and I'm pagan and celebrating Mabon (fall equinox) this week, so I had some fun this morning creating a Mabon circlet.

  • Congratulations everyone!
PaintsStables, your painting is really lovely, you are very talented! I wish I had that kind of skill. Unfortunately due to health problems I do not have very steady hands!
  • Thanks VegemiteQueen. I really enjoy painting, it is very relaxing. Being an artist in my spare time is how I came up with my stable name. I get called Paint as a nick name a lot. Plus, I used to own APHA horses, until I moved out of Oregon.
