C/Yellow produced Blue?
-
I just got this blue papered filly out of two perfect foundation level parents. What are the odds?

All Washed Up are Expros :)
So its a Yellow/B Mix
Still the chances of a Blue foal are not as high :D●▬▬▬▬▬▬๑۩۩๑▬▬▬▬▬▬▬●

It is impossible, as far as I know, to get an A/Blue from a C x Yellow pairing.
I would say anecdotally that there is a decent chance of A/Blue from a mixed pair—C x Red or B x Yellow. Maybe as high as 10% with the full pasture bonus? Might be higher..my pastures are mixed Yellow and Red mares, and some have C stallions, some B, some both so it’s hard for me to tell for sure, but I get a solid handful of A/Blue from all my Foundation pastures. -
I had an ordinary create C papered stallion in a pasture with ordinary create mares (this was in 2014 before Ammit last tightened up the papering requirements) who gave me three A papered colts his first season and at least one more in his second.De gustibus non disputandum. The first blue I ever bred was from a Bone Fire stud and a yellow mare. I was confused on that one

All Washed Up (sire) are exceptional producers. His PT is 9.9, but his breeding ability is B. It's slim, but not impossible for an B/yellow to make Blues :)#4519
