When breeding uneven like that make sure you mares have a full 30 day bonus if you want to get intact foals. It may be near impossible to get an intact via SBA cross from that sire and dam with out it.

Was just hoping for one or two so I could bootstrap them back in I guess we'll see what the other pastures have in store

When bootstrapping don't use SBA. SBA is for reducing numbers to only the very best compared to sire and dam.

Yeah, your problem is that you tested them. You don't test bootstrapped mares, not until the colts start passing in large numbers. The test is to compare your horse to it's sire and dam in quality. With boot strapping you already know that the foal's quality will be much lower than it's sire, you just shouldn't care. Keep the mares untested and rebreed them every year until the colt have a 40% pass rate, and start with BA not SBA.

Well the other pastures sort of made up for it I definitely don't mind the low numbers for the uneveness I still have three and two year olds that after some reason hanging on to but I'm trying to be much stricter on my heavy metal on milestone snowflake but I found myself making a chocolate Palomino line in my barn LOL I might have a problem... and I always strict Breed everything now just out of an OCD habit ha my milestone studies is the only one I made the exception for but you might be on the gilding bus sooner or later I'm really liking the heavy metal line that he made :-??

yeah, I don't test them till the offspring of my first bootstrap girls, and I started mostly with 3g blues instead of foundations.

I don't even BA bootstrapped mares. I do the boys, and then do breeding inspection on the girls. So far keeping everything red+, but I've gotten a gold out of them so starting to think about inching that up to blue+Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.
