I went to member home page as a new person and started making horses. Where are my horses? I can't find any pictures and I can't get any horses moved into my barn or pasture. I regret that I just don't seem to get how this works, even after reading all the FAQ user guide info.

It looks like that you haven't actually made any horses! To make a horse, go to the "Create a Horse" tab, under "Stable Home". Here, you can use your HH. Make sure that the name that you chose for you horse isn't taken. After clicking to create it (If you horse has a "unique" name) the horses picture should appear at the top of the page. Click the picture to go to the horses page.Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.

Oh. I didn't get an opportunity to name a horse. All I got was the sex, size, and age options. What is my HH? I really appreciate the help.

Oops! I did it! Hooray! Thank you.

Welcome to Hunt and Jump. Not everything is listed in the FAQ. It's a good general guide, but it would be terribly long if it listed everything about the game. Since the game is continually being updated and improved, parts would soon be outdated.
You did exactly the right thing by posting your question. We're a friendly group and are always glad to help new players get started.
Have you signed up for your Welcome Pack? There's a discussion where you can do this at the top of the forum page. You get a second barn and more hajibucks by doing this.
This is a really great game, where players set their own goals and then work to achieve them. We are not in competition with each other. Our "opponent" is the life-like variability built into every part of the game. You can seldom predict exactly what is going to happen. About the only thing you can be sure of is that if you breed a plain chestnut mare to a plain chestnut stallion, you will get a plain chestnut foal. :DDe gustibus non disputandum. No problem! I thought that you may have been stuck on the naming part, so thought that I would mention it.
The main way to make money in this game is by having show horses with many points. There's a specific barn set up to give new people like you some proven show horses to get you started! Here's the thread that explains it:

If you name a horse with a pound sign(#) you can keep refreshing the tab to make multiple horses.
