Looking for a mare with nexus to start a breeding program with I am starting with foundation level stallions. Trying for black horses with Nexus, and Appaloosa with Tobiano and Roan possibly in the mix.

I thought Nexus was a closed gene for breeding and that you have to get your first one on your own foundationwise?

There are only a few foundation mares of breeding age left in the game. Do you have a Nexus stallion?

If you have a foundation stallion already, then you’re better off just breeding him to foundation mares with the colors you’re looking for and breeding towards your long term goal.

If you’re not looking to start a line from the foundation level, I’m happy to help you out a bit from my Bootstrap stock.

Right now I have some mares whom are black appaloosa, tobiano and rabicano. The stallion I have is black appaloosa rabicano. I am looking to cross those genes with nexus and figured to start with a mare with nexus to see what comes of the cross and go from there.

My only question is would her foals have nexus. I haven’t figured out what what the hom nexus looks like in the genetics. Also I love the name.

This is my homebred Nexus Herd. They’re my Bootstrap Herd, so unevenly Bred.

I would be willing to sell the A papered stallion and a number of the Het Nexus mares. I won’t sell any mares that are also carrying an Ice gene. I would prefer to sell Red papered mares but would be willing to discuss a few Blues. No Golds are for sale.

Oh wait those are hom Nx so probably not for sale right? :/ I was busy making sure they were red papers forgot the list showed both hom and het Nx.

How much would you want for these two? Pretty sure they are both Het and Not Ice and Red papered.
