Frame x Frame win

Anyone else still breed a frame to a frame knowing there's a chance? The mare was in the pasture and I just decided to take the change anyway. 1 in 3 chance she's be bred to the frame stallion. Of course she ended being bred to the frame stud but the foal survived, passed testing, and is the exact color I breed for!

Nice! I breed certain white spotted patterns together, because it's only a 25% chance of the foal getting both. And if both parents are low white factor, the risk is even less.
I have quite a few horses that have 2 potentially lethal kit alleles.#28036 -
I have a few frame mares and 2 or 3 frame studs. I try to not put them in the same batch but every once in a while they end up in the same pasture. I figure it’s only $500hbs/ shot so if it doesn’t make it I’m not loosing a whole lot of an investment.
If I was using eggs and straws or outside horses now I’d be a little more careful but I do love the how frame makes the whites look and I have a lot of splash mares in my little herd
