Confused!
  • So this foal passed breeding advice, but papered Yellow. Not sure how with a B/Red cross a Yellow would pass?
Also..she is a genetic bounty of goodness! How can I spay her?

  • Shes an ultra high yellow and your mare is prob a low red - so they are close enough that she passed :) beautiful!

  • She's a lovely girl!

I had one just like that last season. B to Red, got a yellow filly that passed BA. I've left her intact just as a novelty, and figure the parents must be very 'low' papered and the foal 'high'.
  • beautiful girl!
  • If she passed BA and you love the genes, I see no reason to snip her. Special ones like that usually get to slide in my barns, whether I use them as part of the line they came out of or not. :)

For that matter I just let a red slide last night on HJ1 - she was supposed to be blue to stay, but she was just too cute to lose. I'll be sticking her with my (larger) bootstrap herd over there so her genes stay in my lines but her papering doesn't interfere with the line she came out of (in which I'm trying to hit the 3G gold/star mark because I want to).

God grant me the hbs to buy the ponies I need,
The fortitude to resist the shiny ones I truly don't,
And the wisdom to know there will always be more next time.

  • Yes she is staying! She's too pretty
  • She’s really beautiful! This is part of what I love about this game : ) I have a few sentimenal ponies who are certainly not going to impress anyone with their numbers, but I am fond of them, so they are special to me.

  • To pass BA horses may be slightly worse than, about as good, or better than their parents.

    Quote from FAQ

It's pretty common for a yellow/C from B/red parents to pass BA, because they are just slightly worse than their parents. It would be less common for them to pass SBA, but I've had a few slip through. Those must have been right at the line between C/B, because they have to be "about as good" or better to pass SBA.
