Ok. This is all confusing!

So, it costs hbs every time you enter a horse in a show. And if they place high enough in that show, they win back some hbs as prize money. So that is the profit or loss you see on any given horse's page. It does not involve the showing bonus at all.

Every single horse except the one that places last in any given show earns some number of points. All of the points you own (from every horse you own, whether you owned them from the beginning or not, but not from horses you bred and showed but don't own any more) are shown on your stable page. Every week you get a show bonus in hbs that is roughly 3/4 of the points you currently own.

So it is possible for a horse to consistently place, say in the bottom half of their class but not last, so they are steadily earning points but not making enough in prize money to show them as making a profit. But that show bonus makes up for it because it just keeps growing with every point they make.

On your stable page it shows you how many points you own, what your show bonus is, and what your weekly net profit is. That net profit or loss DOES NOT include your show bonus, so if your bonus is more than your current net loss, you are still making extra hbs every week.

Cheers is correct. The showing bonus goes into your account at the weekly roll-over between Saturday and Sunday, just like the weekly salary.

There's a running total of what's in your account in the upper right of your stable home page, but it doesn't keep track of individual additions or subtractions. Exact accounting isn't something that has ever been part of the game. I can't imagine the size of the program it would take to keep track of that for all the players or the amount of server power it would take up. It would be huge, I'm pretty sure. I'm just glad to have the total available.
