Pasture foals
  • How do u all manage your pasture foals? As far as space. I don't have 100 stalls open for foals. Can u test them before they are moved out of the pasture? How soon after they are creates are they sold of u don't move them?
  • The foals are removed at the end of a game year, so I would assume at rollover. You can leave them in until then and test and sell as you go through them. On HJ1 I just have a regular free account so I pull everyone I can into a pasture to free up room and slowly go through my foals. Because of my limited space unless I'm absolutely positive I'm going to keep a foal. I end up selling it anyways so that eventually I can get enough hbs and trade them to get more barn and pasture space.
  • You can test, look at, and probably yum them before you take them out. You can't show or auction them. I don't know precisely what day they get deleted, but it's probably very soon, if it hasn't gone already. I think it's a few days before the Rollover.
  • I don't have any in pastures now. Just curious about next time
  • I think they disappear at the end of breeding season, so the 28th. But I could be wrong. It does end up meaning a lot of shuffling if you don't have enough stall space, but I would definitely go through the hassle so you can auction rather than yum the foals. If you pasture breed, it's cheaper per foal than breeding by hand and you will make a greater profit from the auction, so you'll be able to save up for a new barn faster! Also remember if you get something special to put it in the forum. You'll probably get more for it than just throwing it in the auction, and you can always resort to that later if you don't.
  • If they are still in the pasture at the roll-over between the 27th and 28th they are automatically yummed, so you have to get them out of the pasture on the 27th at the latest.
