Would this horse be considered a 'snowflake' horse?
If not then could somebody please explain to me what one is - thank you :) <3 -
No, that is just normal varnishing from the Lp gene. Snowflakes are bigger and whiter :)

Varnish is the smaller speckles like your Tinsley has. Snowflake tends to speckle more, only presents if the horse is hom snowflake (which also means it can be registered in the snowflake breeders club) and the horse has to be appy to show it.

Your very pretty pony does not have snowflake, but rather varnish. Levels of varnish vary from horse to horse (and bloodline to bloodline). Snowflake is kind of like varnish on steroids - instead of tiny flecks of white, there are actual dots. These are three six year old mares:
Hardly any varnish

Heavy varnish (she was much darker last month)

As a horse ages the varnish can increase until a horse fades into mostly white. Snowflake can do the same thing.
