High Generation Plateau
-
I was reading the thread about when evenness does not matter and had a question but I thought it might be better addressed in a new thread.
I'm hitting a plateau in gen 6+ and I'm glad Ammit addressed this with evenness. It's not so much that I can't keep intact foals, as I'm not getting superior sons or higher PTs as much. I'm culling mares and I've changed my strategy a bit this season, paying more attention to AFPT on my mares. Any other suggestions on how to get past it? -
I think the average foal PT is a good approach based on Ammits post. Also, instead of always breeding even generations you can breed similar avg foal PT parents together.
I assume at some point there is a ceiling though and it wouldn't be possible to get any better horses? Does anybody know if that is true or not?SALVISTAR PERFORMANCE HORSES

I'm assuming there are ceilings for most horses' attributes, because a 28 hand horse simply would not be possible, I'm assuming. :P

Salvistar, I seem to remember WAY back that Ammit said that there is no ceiling, but it will get harder and harder to raise it as you get closer to it. (I may be completely wrong with that statement, but it got into my head somehow! :P ) What's the highest PT score right now? 13.1?
-
There's one 13.1 horse in this game at the moment.
On HaJ 1, the highest PT is 15, of which there are 4. Of course, that game is a lot older than this one, so there's been more time to get there. It is also possible to boost horses there and to start with exceptional producers, so that is another advantage in the "highest PT" stakes. :DDe gustibus non disputandum. My high PT horses on HJ1 seem 'levelled out', but my stallions are so much better than my mares so it makes it very hard to progress. On HJ2 I've kept them even which has actually seemed to have helped, more so for me keeping track of breeding rather than any particular magic to even pedigrees. I know when to expect them to go Gold, and when the stallions are to be Stars etc. I'm progressing slower, and I haven't played in about 12 months, so I'll see how they continue to progress now I'm back. If my mares quality is lacking I'll just cull more heavily and wait for mare quality to get closer to the stallions. Can only try and see what happens LOL!Thanked by 1ConfluenceFarms

Nope there is absolutely a ceiling and you guys are no where close. Also the it does not get harder as you go higher either.
