When does your horse age?
  • How long until your horse ages?i have a really nice foal and wondered how long it would be until he's a yearling? I've seen 1yr foals that were born last month and they age fast!
  • Yearlings are how they show up for searches and stuff. He is counted as a yearling, and he will be 2 at the beginning of June. Then he will turn a year older every month after that.

  • Many 2 year olds and older appear yearling-aged in the searches because the search image isn't always in sync with the age of the horse. Opening the horse's page and then reloading the search page will force the search thumbnail to update. :)
Every month in real life is a year in-game. (A lot of the time when people say 'next year' in the forums, they mean next month. :P ) And all horses' ages tick up at monthly rollover, on midnight on the last day of the month, not on the day of the month they were born. :)

  • Also Mystic, horses start "aging out" of the game (dying) when they turn 18. There are some old horses in their 20s in the game but you can't be sure they will survive past 17. You get a notification on your stable page at rollover that tells you each horse you lost...it's a little sad and you will see a forum post close to the end of the month where we talk about favorites we might lose....
