Courtesy Post- Elderly Auction Horses - PLEASE DON'T BID
-
Because real life has dealt us some bumps in all areas of our lives right now, I am moving horses through the auction that I would normally have held on to for a while. Many of these horses are very near the age if not at the age when they will pass out of the game very shortly. I am trying to build funds to buy more barns to re-home horses that are overcrowded. I want to warn everyone about the potential very short life span of many of these horses so you don't spend money on them that would be better spent on other horses that would help you more. So PLEASE don't bid on the horses that are at the age of 16 or older. These horses are from account number 638, Beadingterri

Terri, this is just a heads up, right? Because I don't have an issue with buying older horses.
-
Dena, buying show ponies that are 16 at auction never makes sense. They will never be able to recoup their purchase price before they potentially age out...
-
The most points any horse in the auction has right now is 730. They would need about 4000 points to make it worth bidding on them. Even if they survive for one more month that is only 2815 hbs in bonus or 215 dollars profit. And more likley a loss of almost 2500 hbs. It's a bad investment.

The horses I've bid on are intact. I was asking Terri about it in case she would rather I not use them for breeding!Thanked by 1Beadingterri

It would be against the rules to ask something like that :)

Once I sell a horse or auction it off, I consider it the buyer's property unless prior arrangements have been made. I put up the post because I didn't want anyone to spend a great deal of money on a horse, only to lose it a few days later at turn-over. Any horses you have bought are yours to do with as you please, but thank you for asking :)Thanked by 1ConfluenceFarms
