Special Gene Sales

This page allows you to order a gene for any applicable horse in the game owed by any player. The owner of the horse will receive the gene license for any closed genes. You may modify the genetics of any horse that is unbred, gene tested, foundation and not a clone. To make the horse homozygous for a gene, add strand one to the cart, then return to this page to add strand two.

It is your responsibility to double check that you have selected the right horse, owned by the right player.

Chocolate

Gene Example and Info: Two copies of the recessive b TYRP1 mutation turn all black pigment into chocolate brown pigment. Horse must be E/- or E/E for chocolate to show. This gene has no sharing restrictions.

Dense Pheomelanin

Gene Example and Info: Causes extra production of red pigment. Can produce liver chestnut when combined with sooty. This gene has no sharing restrictions.

Platinum

Gene Example and Info: The platinum gene completely removes yellow tones from a horse's coat and heavily reduces red tones while leaving dark tones intact. This results in shimmery desaturated horses with platinum tones instead of the normal golden or copper tones. Do not combine with mushroom or chinchilla genes. Platinum is recessive and requires two copies to show. This gene is closed. You will receive a breeder's license for this gene when you make this purchase. You will not be able to share this gene to unlicensed players.

Chinchilla

Gene Example and Info: Chinchilla completely removes pheomelanin (red pigment) and leaves behind eumelanin (black pigment). Chestnut-based horses will appear white with red eyes. Bay-based horses will be white with black points and possible sooty. Black-based horses will look mostly unchanged. Requires two copies to show. This gene is closed. You will receive a breeder's license for this gene when you make this purchase. You will not be able to share this gene to unlicensed players.

Phantom Jellyfish

Gene Example and Info: Phantom Jellyfish will add sparse jellyfish markings inside KIT, Splash, or Frame white areas. It requires only one copy to show, and shows best with large areas of white. Available for purchase in July and October only. This gene is closed. You will receive a breeder's license for this gene when you make this purchase. You will not be able to share this gene to unlicensed players.

Watercolor

Gene Example and Info: The Watercolor allele is a mutation of the Rainbow Riot gene. This fantasy gene changes the typical red and black pigment of horses into any number of random colors. This gene is closed. You will receive a breeder's license for this gene when you make this purchase. You will not be able to share this gene to unlicensed players.
