TBH Waltzing Matilda was named after a famous Australian folk song 'Waltzing Matilda', adapted from the famous namesake poem by legendary Australian poet Banjo Paterson. 

The inspiration behind her name stems from her RS Roots as  A Rhythm of Four Horse, and the origin and folk legend of both the poem and folk song of 'Waltzing Matilda'; which is forever burned in the memories of every Australian
