Rank Special horses - selling and breeding?
-
Maybe this would be better answered in the horses for sale or breeding forum?
I keep seeing the special horses selling for really high, like in the $25,000-$100,000 range, is there something special about them other than their "Rank Special"? (I feel a little bad if they are! I have put so many of them in the auction in the past)
Do they do the same thing with breeding?
Do stallions that are special rank get used if put up in public breeding?
Do people buy rank special mare eggs? Or use if put up for public breeding?
If they do buy eggs do they sell for high like these horses are selling for?
Or is it just owning the actual horse, like being really into collecting?
I think I read somewhere that their most value is without any foals and young enough to use GMTs on, is this their only "value window" of time and the reason they are selling for so much as basically a blank slate?
Thanks in advance! :)ID# 2353 -
Rank specials are EXTRA special herd helpers. Many of them have exceptional breeding and/or showing benefits, and they all have amazing combinations of colors that would take a player AGES to breed on their own. Ammit has come up with several to commerate different occasions; holidays and other calendar events, her wedding, etc. Some are only available once a year, some are one time only offers and will never be released again. Their value is largely determined by their rarity and color combinations.
Most horses that qualify for GMT are going to be a BIT more valuable than horses that are not, at least for sale purposes.
Yes eggs and straws to RS horses are more valuable, just as any straw from any valuable mare/stallion would be.
Here is a link to a list of all the Rank Special type in the game, although we been promised some new ones. First snow was the first of the new ones to be released. http://hj2.huntandjump.com/forum/discussion/8431/rank-special-dhh-list-new-and-current#Item_23
