Someone to make a tattoo?
  • Hey all, sorry to keep posting on the forum...seem to have many questions all at once!

Is there someone that is willing to make me a tattoo please? I am a noob on the computer so I have no hope!
Just hoping for an 'Aa' with some Aztec tribal art entwined into the design somehow? To be put on the shoulder, so simplicity is best for me.

Thank you!! I will pay $$$$$!

  • I can work on one for you, but I have one ahead of you to do first. If someone else offers, don't worry about saying no to mine!

  • I like creating tattoos. Let me see what I can come up with. Aztec art sounds like a challenge. I've recently managed to come up with a few of those, including a poison arrow frog and a jumping horse. *G*

  • Here is the front end of the Aztec two-headed snake (the other head would be at the other end, but that doesn't fit into a 25 pixel square). I've put it on a chestnut, a cream and a black horse, so you can see how it fits with different colors.

Let me know if there is anything you think should be changed. I'm thinking that 10,000 for the tattoo slot and 3,000 for the design time would suit me, if that's okay with you.

I've been thinking, maybe something like this? With an Aa in the middl/entwined somehow? I'm I being too hopeful...would it turn out okay?

  • Thank you! It's considered their tribal sun? But I agree, I love the shape of it.

  • Here's a page of images of the Aztec Sun God. Not too many look like your elegant model. *G* Perhaps yours is a modern design and not one of the ancient ones from before the conquest?

But, it's a nice design, although all those curvy lines aren't easy in the space constraints. Here's what it looks like on various colors of horses.

Oops, I forgot the Aa (though I think two capital letters would work better. Let me see about fitting it in.

    There you go. How's that?

  • Thank you so so much, that looks gorgeous!
Yes I deliberately found a simplified version...took a while though!!!

I'm so picky....but you wouldn't be able to make the sun like a burnt orange so I can see what it's like? It may make the A A stand out a bit more!
    Thank you again so much

  • Is that any better? (see horses above) Keep in mind that I have only 25 pixels in each direction to work with. The more complex and intricate the design, the harder it is to squeeze into the available space. I might have to fill in the whole background for the design details to show up on most colors.

I doubled the line of the A's to make them more visible. I'm not sure the darker color shows up much better, especially on the darker classic champagne and bay horses. I have it set to 60% opacity so it doesn't look too weird. Very bright colors that almost fill or completely fill the square look like postage stamps, not identification tattoos, in my opinion (and Ammit's). I will put them in the corners, but don't really like how they appear on the horse, myself. I had set the snake at 50% opacity to reduce the garish effect of the aqua. It looked like something put on with poster paints at full opacity.

However, if you really want it brighter, I can make the orange 100%. It will be your tattoo, not mine.

  • I love it! But I do agree on what you're saying; do you think it would look better in the corner of the page? I am happy to take your opinion, as I trust your judgement and experience!

The A's look great, I like the orange too, but maybe not on the horse..I will have a play myself. Most of my horses are dark solid colours, no roaning so I'll see what it looks like on, or move it about. The orange looks good at 60%, I wouldn't want it any brighter.

How's 15,000? I have mucked you about with this design so I think a tip is necessary!!

    Thank you so much!

  • It's up for sale to you at your suggested price. Just go to your Tattoo Registry and you'll find it.

You could try it in a corner. The color of the background might make a difference, and you might decide to brighten it up, if you think you'd rather have it there. In its current state, it doesn't look bad on a horse's shoulder.

To play with it, you would go to your Tattoo Registry and click on Edit this Tattoo. Then use the dropper to select the color you'd like to change. This will give you the option of changing a color in several ways. To adjust the transparency, go to the vertical column of options and find the one labelled "A". Change it to 100% to get the full brightness of the color, then click on every pixel of that color to restore it to full opacity and brightness. Changes to tattoos are made in the left-hand box, where each pixel can clearly be seen.

I will remove it from my horses.

  • P.S. I'm pretty proud of the Aztec snake one, so I'll keep it around in my registry. You might want to use it someday for a special line (when you get to the point where you're working on more than one). Just let me know.

  • You are very welcome.

I'll keep the snake until you decide you're ready for it.
