Blue papered 2g mares?
  • Are there any out there? I am wanting to try some mares that are blue papered on Dancers son Pure Halloween. Not sure how to find any or search for any?
  • I answered this in a message to you a couple weeks ago. Yes there are some out there. It's takes time to search for them and I doubt any are for sale. If you feel like wading through a ton of pages of horses. Go to the search. Unselect everything but mares. Unselect the "foundation" box. Type 2 in the name box. And in the drop down "sort by" boxes choose "by paper level"

A lot of horses have numbers in their names so not only 2g horses will come up. So you have to go through the gold papered mares to get to the blues and then see if they say 2g / 2 / g2 etc.
  • I forget what I have typed and dont know how to bookmark my pages from the phone. Sorry moon. I will go search. Thanks for reminding me.
  • My only blue papered 2g is an uneven one but she is one of my favorites :)

To find some I usually put in the search by paper level and uncheck foundations so there are less to sift through and then you can look at all the blue papered ones to see if any are 2g
  • I found a few. I am just looking for eggs.

This is Dancers son that I want to usethe egg with. To me he is plain but he has the best pt score of his offspring.
  • @best friend, I don't think the best PT score necessarily means the best producing stallion at the second generation.

Further down in the generations I think you want to see a close relationship between PT score and breeding ability, but at the second generation I feel like a lot of variability is present. In fact, I have a second generation mare with a low PT score (around 9.4-9.8 or something) and her AFPT score is 10.5.

    EDIT: Found her image
    2G Bella Guardia

PT score of 9.4, papered Red.
    AFPT score: (10.3+10.2+10.7+10.5+11)/5 = 10.5
  • I havent got to use his daughters yet to see how they will go. I just want to do right by his line and see what I can do with it. I just feel like I am not doing a good job with it.
  • sorry wrong post have moved it
  • I wish I could collect eggs for you. The mare I got from cheers is old.
  • Thanks @wildland. I appreciate everyones advice. Now that Jailee got A papered colts from one of Dancers sons it makes me feel better. I am so thrilled about that.
