Papered Horses; What and How?
-
I am fairly new and am starting (more like desperately trying(and trying to fix my previous "mistakes")) to get into genetics on the game. But I have no clue what "papered" horses mean or do, all I know (more like believe) is that they relate to the PT score and showing. Secondly how do you breed papered horses?
Thank you so much for the help!Again if nothing makes any sense please tell me so I can try to explain.

Firstly, you have to have at least a basic upgrade to be able to paper horses.
Papering is more a measure of a horse's breeding quality. It is not related to showing ability in anyway. Paper levels indicate the breeding quality of a horse - the higher the paper level, the better quality the horse is as a breeder.
There are four paper levels:
C/Yellow
B/Red
A/Blue
Star/Gold
The letters refer to stallion papering and the colours refer to mare papering. I.e. a B papered stallion is the equivalent of a Red papered mare. You generally want to breed horses of similar paper level together in order to produce better foals. Breeding a Star papered stallion to a Yellow papered mare is very uneven in quality and would most likely result in the foal being spayed/gelded.
Most players use paper levels to determine how the quality of their lines are improving over generations, and which foals are worth keeping each season.
Hope that helps. I know I was pretty confused by it all when I first started.
