Gold Champagne Foundation For Sale
-
I have this nice gold champagne foundation stallion for sale. He really doesn't fit into my breeding program. Two of his three foals are showing at a profit. I am asking $2500.

I decided to take him home. I have a champagne line and he will be an added foundation sire to help me reduce inbreeding in later generations. Thanks.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

Your welcome! I was trying something in my lines, but he didn't fit in, and I didn't want to send him to Auction without giving someone a chance at a gold champagne first.

It's one of my assorted pasture projects. I call it the "Cup O Kindness" line and add a CK prefix to the names of all the breeding stock. The only requirement is that they have champagne (I love all the varieties). An interesting pattern is a bonus but is not required.
If you're interested, here's the line he'll be joining:

Cool, thanks, I will check it out to see how he does in your program. Glad you could use him. He is starting out as a good foundation breeder for producing profit foals. But I have soooooo many foundation stallions that I am still sorting through.

I've never been very good at culling anything, but the full colt testing array keeps my stallion line-ups a little more under control than my mares. But only a little. [-(De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

Well, I've bred him to six of my CK mares and got one intact filly who got through all testing and one superior to sire colt. Several of the others got neutered by the consistency test and the only other colt to get through testing only papered C and so got snipped anyway. However, his PT is 10.3, the best of the bunch, so perhaps he'll make a profitable show horse.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

Hope he turns out to be a better show horse for you.
