I would expect her to have some significant added value especially for newer liver breeders.
Many players are more up-to-date than I on available testing in real life. But Agouti in other species is pretty well researched and is fairly stable across species. I don't believe there's much reason to think it's hugely different in horses.More power! -
Just because they haven't found the allele in a reliable test, does not mean the allele doesn't exist. Pearl was only recently discovered, even though it's been around for hundreds or thousands of years. :)#28036

She'd likely sell for a good price, but she also would likely be valuable to you as a breeder if you're starting out with livers.
-
I am just starting out so I'm thinking she would be worth more to keep while I wait for my liver and chocolate foals to become breedable. Especially being an ExPerf if I'm more likely to get intact foals from her.
-
It's not that you're more likely to get intact foals - that's still a roll of the dice. But as an ExPerf foundation, she's equivalent to a B papered 2nd generation mare. So a bit of a jumpstart in quality.
-
And if I wanted to breed even, I should breed her to B studs, or will A be alright as well?
-
It depends what you mean by "even". Matching the papers will ensure more intact offspring, although breeding to a higher paper level could end with foals that are of a much higher quality than the mare could normally produce, although the foal may be altered by BA, depending on how high the sire is.Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. So I could breed her to an A stud and still have a chance at an intact foal that will be quite high quality?
-
She is an Experf, so a low red. There is an incredibly low chance of their foal passing and I personally wouldn't risk it, unless you rely on breeding inspection over BA. However if you breed her to other Experfs, expros, or even C boys you have the chance of getting A/blue babies out of the cross. More likely with the Experf and Expros which would be the same paper level as her.Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.
