So I bred a foal. Score was better than both parents yet it still altered it. Anyone know why?

Looks like just a bad roll of the dice. She is gorgeous and should be a great little show pony. I would try that cross again next month.

The PT score doesn't tell you anything about the horse's breeding quality - so even though she got a higher PT, behind the magic curtain, her breeding quality was not as good as one or both of the parents. There's no obvious 'reason' to explain the BA, so it's probably just bad luck. If you really like her otherwise, repeating the cross may get you a foal that passes testing next time.

CrewCut is right; the PT score has nothing to do with breeding ability. Foals can have a worse PT score than the parents, and be a better breeder. PT score only lets you know how much/well a horse can train before they level off. A foals breeding ability is compared to that of the parents when tested. Strict Advice is more scrutinizing of the breeding ability than regular Breeding Advice.
