2 stallions in a pasture
-
Will the foals say who is the sire? Or do they all have to be tested?
-
Um to bw honest i never have put 2 studs in a pasture but i bealive it could be other oneLife is Special live it to your fullest

Each horse has a family tab the top of their page. If you click that tab it will show you who the dad is even with multiple stallions in the pasture.

And if you copy the ID number of one of the stallions and do a search for 1 year olds using that number in the spot for Sire ID, you can see all of his foals from that breeding. This is how I usually sort my pasture foals for naming and culling after I've done all the free testing plus consistency and PT and papering the colts.
Of course, you have to have an upgrade to access all the testing, but the technique applies at any level. Just work your way down the search results, naming them and deciding which ones to neuter or send to the auction.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

Knowing the lineage of your stock won't require testing, just a little extra clicking. when I pasture breed, I tend to bring an entire pasture into the main barn all at once. Then, without looking at any of the foals I check for my pasture email and note the parents of the best foal, run everyone through SMA/GA/SAT and note the rate of spaying and gelding, and PT everyone. It's only at that point that I start opening foal pages (one at a time, I don't open an entire pasture at once, which apparently is what crashed all the servers at the beginning of January). I name colts sire X dam to start with and finally give real names only to those I plan to keep for breeding. Fillies get real names as I look at them unless they don't meet my standards for PT or color, in which case they get sold or spayed for the show string,

Thanks!
