Rank 2: White 1 Bay

All horses will be White Bay. They may also have additional rare genes, and may be solid or patterned.

What exactly is frame?

Frame isnt nothing special but makes horses white look ' cleaner' per say

But frame is lethal when combined with frame.Life is Special live it to your fullest

Frame is lethal when homozygous, so it's something to note in your girl's record if she has it so you don't breed her to a stallion with frame. Baya's explanation is pretty good...frame seems to give cleaner edges to the margins between white and colored patches on the coat...it interacts with different patterns differently. I have noticed on White 1 horses, those without frame have color only along their top line, often only in their manes where there is extensive white factor. When frame is present, there is more color distributed around the rest of the body I find. My observations are not comprehensive by any means tho! She may also have roan, on a second look.
Did you know you can register horses that aren't color tested in the various breeding clubs they are eligible for? I often use this to identify the patterns my horses have without spending the money for color testing. So you could try to register her in the roan and frame clubs to see if she has those patterns... -
I took a chance breeding dark melody to a frame stud last season but her foal survived and is beautifulLife is Special live it to your fullest

Yes, Baya is right. Breeding a frame carrier to another frame carrier gives you a 25% chance of a lethal homozygous frame foal. However, one of the Rank Specials recently (I think freaky Friday?) was GMTd to be homozygous frame. So if you bred her to a freaky stallion it's a 50-50 chance. I lost a ton of wet n wild X freaky foals to that a couple seasons ago before I figured out what I was doing....heartbreaking!

Ok. Thanks!
