Het = heterozygous = two different alleles in a pair

Hom = homozygous = two of the same alleles in a pair

For example:
EE = two of the same, so it's hom
Ee = two different, so it's het
ee = two of the same, so it's hom

Some of the stallions genes are het and some are hom.
