Smoking cash for breeding

I'm a new player and I and trying to start a breeding barn

Hi! I'm sorry, I'm not sure what you mean. Can you tell us specifically? Do you own a horse called Smoking Cash? Can you post a link, please? :)

Hi. Welcome to the game. I did a horse search and found Smoking Cash.
http://hj2.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=366342
I suggest that before you put him up for public stud, you put him through the Gelding Advice and Showing Aptitude tests. This will give you and others an idea of whether he will be good for breeding or better for showing. Both tests will neuter horses automatically if they are better for showing than breeding, which is a good thing. Show horses can make money for your stable.
Then read the advice about breeding that you will find at the bottom of the left side menu bar, "Breeding Info."
The most important thing to do is to go to Smoking Cash's Control Panel tab and assign him a breeding fee, if he tests out to be okay for breeding. This will allow you to breed him to your mares and also will allow other players to use him for breeding. Since he's a foundation horse with pretty standard genes, I would suggest keeping the breeding fee no higher than 500hbs. Some players put their foundation stallions up for as low as 1hb, if they don't particularly need game money, so giving him too high a breeding fee will lower your chances of having him used.
Also, make sure that you train all your horses once every week (found under "Showing" in the menu bar). Then you can show them twice a week. Every horse that places higher than last in a show will be given some showing points based on where they place. As your horses train up and get into higher level classes, the number of points awarded tends to go up. These points awarded add up throughout the horse's life and are the basis of a weekly Showing Bonus, which, for the time being, is about 75% of the total number of points all your horses have earned. At the level where Smoking Cash is now, there are only 2 horses in each class, so he will either win or lose, based a lot on luck. Don't despair. Keep training him and he will eventually work his way up and will hopefully place much better in his classes. Average foundation horses usually add about 3 points to their show scores every time they train. Once they get out of Level 1World, it will take them 10 points added to their show scores to put them into the next higher level, so his placing will fluctuate as he trains his way up through the level.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."
