I got all of my horses tested and entered into them into the breeder clubs. I decided to go through them, and see where some of my horses stand among the greats. As I was browsing along, I saw that Dark Star has absolutely dominated some of the board standings. Among some of the horses owned/bred by Dark Star, I noticed one foal who's name was hanging near the middle of the highest foal PT area in a few clubs. This foal with all it's friends who made the board are DS stock. This lovely foal is named Supreme Leader. I was blown away at DS stock owning so much real estate with one superbly named foal in the middle of the pack. Dark Star my friend, you are heads above the rest, and set some very high goals/standards; I salute you, and your hard work.

He is in keeping with my Star Wars theme. Supreme Leader Snope. He was my “best of the pastures” this year.

I am only at the top because I have been around forever. It’s just a matter of time. Nothing special that I have done. Keep breeding good horses to good horses and anyone can get there. I actually don’t like dominating the boards, competition drives me to be better. It’s part of why I culled my mare herd from 400+ down to less than 100 intact mares. Fewer Dark Star horses should mean more spots on the boards for other folks. I was just drowning everyone out with volume, and that’s no fun.

I am also going to auction off a few of my studs, I have already given away several on the bootstrapping chat. I want more folks to be able to improve their herds rapidly, if that is what they want to do.

I'm hoping to be able to grab one of your studs Dark star! I have been wanting to since I started bootstrapping. Good, really high quality studs are hard to come by.

I'll never be able to afford a Dark Star at auction at present, but I set up my pasture for my A papered stud for April, and will be saving up to get a really cracking stud to move forward with.

I was just scanning the clubs. In Era 0, the Top Mare and High PT lists are both clean sweeps for Dark Star.
