So I was doing so good at saving up recently, I had over 100k in HBs... Then these riding horses came out and next thing you know I'm buying barns and creating. First to make more stalls then trying to fill them up with Appy riding horses. Today my account is at 1300 HBs... *Cry* where did it all go?

Now I have to wait until the auction runs tomorrow... So I can go back to creating more! Then there was the whole wanting to comparison test and color test my first riding horse stud. So those HBs are down the drain... I have a problem. Is anybody else finding themselves throwing their savings out the window like a looney?

The good news though is that the stud compared as good as one of my rank special foundation so he gets to stay intact. Introducing Quigley:

He sure looks worth it! I think I got a lottery a little while before this week started, so I had about 60,000 to use in auction horses. I created all 4 yo mares and pasture bred them, so I actually had a little profit by the end. The problem is, I kept keeping a bunch off the top, so I never quite auctioned everyone. :P I also took the opportunity to cull a bunch of my 2nd gens.

Yes, once upon a time I had over 400k saved up

Then christmas happened and then riding ponies.
I am at $10k right now... -_- lol
And I have no idea where it all went.

On HAJ1 I have 3k hbs, so I understand you, @Salvistar. I want to win even 10k hbs.
Here I have 50k, anyway I have almost no space for more horses :))
Congrats to the winner of the jackpot. 1 million hbs, it's awesome.

The answer, my dears, is more barns and more horses and more barns and more horses. :))

Hoarding pixel ponies and showing them all every chance you get is the way to go. Since Ammit introduced the Showing Bonus, both my stables, the one here and the one on HaJ1, have become totally self supporting, no matter how much I go overboard on creating, breeding and testing. I have a bit over 2,200 horses in this game, of all ages. My showing bonus, at the moment, is at 452,851hbs. Unless I get completely extravagant this week, my total bank balance will probably top 2 million hajibucks on Sunday. In HaJ1, the balance is currently 11,960,290 hbs, but I've been playing that game since 2011 and have better than 4,000 horses there. (And I believe there are players with even larger stables than that. :O )

I hear you Salvistar. But, like SandyCreek, I am at 3084 horses, and except for a barn or two now and then, (when I just can't wait until Sunday,) my stables is also self supporting. I keep creating more horses. =)) But I keep getting bigger showing bonuses too. :D

I'll second (third?) what Sandy & Paints said. Show ponies make money. Money builds barns. Barns for more show ponies. It's really tempting to weed out all your spays/gelds to make room for more breeders. Don't do it. And show your breeders and your culled breeders, if they're not in pastures. Show everything.

Currently at 6385 horses :)

I poured some serious real money into the game when I started playing, especially around Christmas. I am also up to about 2500 horses and my show bonus is about 55k/week. But since almost all of my show ponies are 8 and under, my bonus is growing nearly exponentially...I've earned more than 20k points just in Feb.

I hear you guys. I am adding stables as I can and then trying to fill them up. My weakness though is filling them with breeders over showers. However, I do show ALL of my breeding stock so that helps. I am up to a little over 20,000 HB bonus each week. With only 170 horses roughly. That doesn't seem too bad to me.

That is pretty good Salvistar. It took a while for me to build up show horses. It feels so great when you get there.
