Confluence's comments on my crazy ice nexus horse gave me an idea.

Post a horse with lots of colors. Can be any gender, altered or intact. Add up his or her points, according to the rarity of his or her colors, as follows:
Black, Chestnut or Bay without Cream, Dun or Champagne: 1 point
Brown or Wild Bay (also sable champagne, buttermilk buckskin, etc)(At or A+): 2 points
Cream (Ccr_): 2 points
Perlino, Cremello, Smoky Creme or other double dilute cream (CcrCcr): 6 points
Pearl (Cprl_): 5 points
Homozygous pearl (CprlCprl): 8 points
Dun (DD or Dd): 2 points
Champagne (ChCh or Chch): 2 point
Gray (GG or Gg): 1 point
Flaxen (ff): 1 point
Sooty (SStyS or SstySsty): 1 point
Sooty+ (S+S or S+Ssty): 9 points
Homozygous Sooty+ (S+S+): 12 points
Pangare (pp): 1 point
Silver (Zz or ZZ): 2 points
Roan (KitrKit_): 2 points
Tobiano (KittoKit_): 3 points
White 1 (KitwKit_): 3 points
White 2 (Kitw2Kit_)3 points
White 3 (Kitw3Kit_): 5 points
White 4 (Kitw4Kit_): 8 points

Nexus: 10 points
Homozygous Nexus: 15 points
DP: 8 points (must be visible or provable by parents or offspring with liver, or liver/chocolate in their name or obvious DP).
Brindle (Chimeric Positive): 10 points

Post up to 5 horses (1 per post).

I'll run this till rollover next Saturday. I thought it'd be fun.

I'll put together a customized prize package for the winner that includes 5 straws, 2 eggs if they can use them (or more straws if not), and a really nice colt from this year's crop depending on what they are breeding for. There may be consolation prizes and prizes just for participating too, so don't be shy if you don't have the wildest colored horses in the game. Let's see YOUR loudest pony.

I think you can safely say bay, dun, and splash. And homozygous nexus is 15 points, so that's 20 points, all told. :) There's even a chance of DP, but there's no way to test that. :(

Is a horse eligible for points for flaxen even if he's black based, and a chestnut eligible for silver, and such?
Also, I've never figured out how pangere works. I know it's a lightening around the face and parts of the underside of the barrel, but is it dominant, or incompletely dominant, or what? :P
And are there any points for heterozygous satin? And I think you missed Sty+. :)
Aaaaand since you said 'black, chestnut, or bay without cream, dun, or champagne', does that mean you can't count an unusual bay if a horse is cream, run, or champagne? And since you mention some homozygousies and not others, should we not count each individual gene if a horse is Hz for dun, cream, or grey, to name a few?

I think I may have done a couple of booboo's when I calculated them. I will recalculate, but have a couple of fuzzy areas. :\">
Does SS count as Sooty points? And if the color is in the name but, they are heterozygous do they still get points for that color, or only homozygous? And last question, the colors that don't have the gene, like KP and GP, do we need to state they are in the club?
I only want to put in one entry, (the best of my three.) But I am not sure how to delete the other two posted entries. :\">

I clarified as much as I could with gene combos. SS means no sooty. Hetero is okay for dominant genes. And I added S+, how could I forget that? I made it worth 9 so that S+Ssty was worth 10, that make sense?

I'm not real sure about Pangare myself, is it recessive? Someone clarify that for me.

No.. I skipped it because we're going for visible, the same way GP and KP are, it's just that you can test for satin. So anything recessive only counts if hetero/visible. So it's possible frame shouldn't count unless it's got something to act on, but I didn't want to get too nitpicky. Thanks for the S+ catch.

Yeah, you can. I'll update the description.

No... I counted homozygous genes if there is some visible difference homozygous vs hetero. By that standard I probably missed a few, notably liver and maybe grey. But on everything but chestnut it's reallllly hard to tell if DP is het or hmz, so I didn't include the difference. Where I should've probably included it is double cream. I will update.

Definitely not, Rose! I just was able to profit from the breeding efforts of other, more experienced breeders!!! That girl is lined back to Dark Star, Abbey Road, Evanescent and Ammit breeding...they did all the hard work!
