I need 8 more gmts to get Macchiatto. I need help figuring out how to get them. I know I could probably sell most of my RS horses. Is there another way to get the hbs to get the other 8 gmts.

Honestly... I started selling my more desirable mares that are KP, kit M or S+ that didnt suit my breeding program 100% because they were missing a few genes. Oh boy did I make hbs! Still not enough for the gene sales as I need GMTs for some special horses. But it really helped

I've been doing straw sales, selling rank specials, auctioning my abundance of pasture foals, and selling desirable mares that don't fit my program. Next season I'm not going to be doing any breeding, but putting all my mares up for brood.

I'm going to sell or auction eggs & embryos next season, along with what other people have said. Plus I'm putting off breeding next season until after the sale, so hopefully I can get a few genes.

I’m in the same boat except I’ve only got 1.5 GMTs so far... I’ve been doing create-breed-auction to get half of the HBs to get a GMT or maybe more or less and I have straws and I could probably sell most my intact stock since I would like to start over on my lines but I haven’t gone full into earning everything yet which I probably should.

I’m doing create-breed-auction as well. The 2k profit per foal translates to 1 gmt per 125 foals. My account is set up for this though with 600 dedicated auction stalls, and my primary, at the moment.

You need 8 GMT, so that is 1000 foals you need to pump out if you go the auction route. How many HB are you sitting on right now and how much free space do you have to work with? Is your deadline when the sale ends or the end of the month?

So you have about 6 auctions to pull it off. If you have the funds create & breed 200 mares for each auction (more if you have room and cash to finish faster. And you will be done in time.

Remember, if you go the auction foal route, mares can't go to auction until a week after breeding. That's the new rule determined from the Nexus competition, right?

I don’t recall seeing a rule like that anywhere since I joined in February, was it maybe something specific to the contest you mentioned?

The only rule I remember being instituted since the contest was that you can’t overfill your barns for auction. I don’t recall a rule like waiting a week though.

I have only been here since Jan 1st, but I have not seen a rule about waiting a week after breeding... I am curious though, if it is a rule, what was the reasoning? Or what happened to prompt it? Asking out of genuine curiosity..

@levesel2 it was to stop players creating mares breeding then then auctioning off mare and foals to gain funds.

Example :
Create 100 mares ( - 250k)
Breed in pastures ( - 50k)
Auction mare and foals ( + 500k)
So you make 200k profit.

So essentially permitting barn space you can get 10mil (Money cap) each auction so long as you put enough mares and foals in.

Guilty of doing it to get gmt's to add sooty plus to my watercolor guy. Lol

I technically still do it but not just for the funds.
I create around 200 random mares to go with my main 4 foundation studs,
Breed them auction the mares and snipped foals, also used a lot of Dark chestnut, sooty pal, etc HH to get dp mares. So they don't go to waste I breed the non dp mares and auction of them and their foals.

Once I get my barns properly organised I will probably buy a barn just for foundation mares :D
