10th Anniversary Perfect Foundation Line-up

    SandyCreek Farm is proud to present six Perfect Foundation Stallions at stud. Each of them has a little something extra.

    They will be standing for live cover for 1 hb until June 10. Please don't go overboard here--there are only 50 of these per stallion. Straws will also be provided for 1 hb each, up to 10 straws per stallion, also until June 10.

    Okay, so is W20 a randomly generated gene now? I don't see it in the GMT lab, so I don't see how it could be added. :) I'm guessing it's going to take the place of White Factor soon. Also, will it be lethal in combination with anything?

    Sandy, can I get 5 straws to Caviar Dream. I did two live covers, and they both were spayed. I got two intact, a colt and a filly from Spice Lord, so I would like 2 straws from him please? Thanks!

    @RoseFlute: Ammit gave us a link to shares of Homozygous W20 and another to shares of Heterozygous W20 in HaJ 1, so I expect that we may see a similar sharing here as well when she has time to do it. White 20 basically boosts the amount of white that other white spotting genes produce. It will be very common, about 50% of created horses will carry it. As far as I know, it is compatible with everything, but I could be wrong. As you can see, I created 6 horses and three of them carry W20, one of them homozygously.

    You can see that Enchanted Dancer has more white showing than Splash 1 would normally give without the W20, and Wildfire Dragon, who has no white factor at all, shows his Splash 2 very nicely, boosted by W20.

    Ammit is still working on this gene. It's in Alpha state at the moment, so things may change in the future.

    And now--off to the ABL to pull straws and get them shipped out.

    ETA: It is possible to have a horse with W20 and minimal white markings or none at all. It looks like it will be a ninja, like Frame. *G*

    W20 is in the Create A Horse option already. I got several. Ammit said on the FB page that it is 'dead common'

    Thanks for all the compliments on these boys. Except for the buckskin, they tended to be rather ordinary bays and chestnuts. I had a lot of fun deciding how to use 2 GMT's each for the best effect. A couple of times I got extravagant and used more than 2, so I had to go get more IV's to more GMT's. I'm pretty pleased with the results of my tinkering.

    Thanks for the straws! I just bred my first mare to Caviar Dream, and got a B papered colt, lol. Now I have to see who else I can match him too.

    @ Kerredans Corral--That's a nice, varied lot of colts. *G*

    @SkyeWA--That would be a surprise. Obviously the dam must be heterozygous at Extension, as well as the sirem, and the foal got the recessive e from both parents and his dam's Ccr.

    Now I really got a surprise, once in my early days of playing. I bred two visually black horses together and got a palomino. Talk about jaws dropping. Some investigation proved the the mare was a smokey cream and she passed her Ccr down to the foal.

    W20 is in the gmt lab on hj1 its 1hb each so that tell you how common it will be it cost the same as kit
