Opinions on my filly?
(No matter how hard I try I can never post their actual photos here...)

But anyway I just wanted to know what you guys thought of her, she was a bit of an impulse pairing And PTGed higher than I thought she would

I love her color. Any suggestions on her future?

  • She's cute! That's a good PT for a gen 2 goal (highest I've seen for evenly bred gen 2 is 10.5). She carries Frame (Olw) which is lethal when homozygous, so you probably want to avoid stallions that carry frame for her. She also carries wild bay (A+) so if you breed her to a black based stallion you might get one of them. It's one of my favorite colors, though I really like everything!
  • Most of my horses seem to carry frame, I was doing some research today on frame and splash...Decided it's time to get some solid non frames soon [-X don't want to lose any foals haha. Both her sire and dam carry frame so I got lucky with her i think.
I'm super proud of her PT, thought she was gonna get something closer to 9.6

I'd love to get a wild bay foal! When she's of breeding age I'll have to hunt one down if I don't have one of my own by that time. I'm so excited to see her foals, her dam is one of my favorite mares which makes me even more excited!

  • I just bred my foundation wild bay pasture. Do you want me to see if any of the solid colts are any good?
  • That's be amazing if you could! I absolutely adore the horses that come from your barns

  • No promises that any will turn out. I know the best in the pasture is a splash frame, so he's out! I will see what I've got though and let you know who meets my standards!
  • I'm so crazy for splash frame it's getting ridiculous XD I've got another 2 seasons before she's ready to foal so I can wait if you don't find a good one right now

  • Shes a cutie! Also has anyone explained how to put a picture?

Right click on the picture you want to post and click "copy image address"

    And then
in the text box you'll see the little buttons for bold, italic, underline, etc. Theres a little picture one its the 6th one in. You click that and it will look like this < img src="" / > without the spaces lol (had to space it or it wont show) and in between the parentheses you click paste.
  • Thanks very much! She's my favorite filly

And yea I've had several people suggest different ways to try it and it never works. I am on mobile too so I'm not sure if that's part of the issue to

  • I'm trying it again to see if it works
    image
...yea it's not working. I hold her image and select "copy inage" it then says that it has been "copied to clipboard" once I come here to paste it is doesn't give any "paste" option at all. I've tried view image and then copying it but still nothing. I'm not even sure what "copy to clipboard" even mean or how it works. It only shows up if I try to paste something in my Internet address bar

  • Oh, maybe it's because you're copying the image itself and not the image address or the image url (lately I've had to go to the image and copy its url from there because there hasn't been an option) otherwise the computer thinks you're trying to copy the image itself. The forum knows that anything posted between the " in the image-posting-shortcut leads to an image and isn't one itself. :P
    Thanked by 1Ammit
  • Yes you have to copy image address not just copy image I dont know if you can do that on mobile so thats probably the problem lol and once youve got something copied you go to where you want to paste it (in this case between the two parentheses after you click that little icon thing) and you tap the screen and a paste option should come up (it does on my iphone I dont know how exactly other phones do it but I assume its the same way) on the computer you just right click and theres an option to paste.
  • She's pretty ColorGood. One of my favorite patterns. I would find her a nice splash, or solid boy to breed her to when the time comes. Even bred to either of those, she could have babies with/like her pattern.
  • I plan on breeding her with a wild bay colt from Cheers at least once and then I'm going to try to breed her with a few crazy patterned horses. Splash is my favorite and I can't wait to breed her and try a few different things.

Rose and Moon Acre I'll remember to copy the actual address next time to see if I can get it to work, if not I'll just have to settle for linking to her page

  • Color, this is the only guy without frame that passed my testing process. Hes homozygous splash, so I don't know if that's what you want or not.

If you'd rather just breed to a wild bay I'm keeping, I have several gen 2 stallions that I would be happy to send you straws from when she's old enough.

  • Great, I hope it works. :)
  • This guy would probably be my pick if you want a straw. He's DP wild bay.

  • I have a few B papered colts and I don't need them all. Maybe one would fit what you're looking for?

    Champagne dun appy -

May not be after an appy, but either way, hope you find what you're looking for!
  • Also - I had the same problem as you posting images. What finally worked was pasting the image address and then highlighting it, then I clicked the "Image" option in the "Write Comment" window. Hope that helps?
  • Rose, it worked! I tested it out on the new foals thread and it worked!

Cheers, it might be easier to buy a few straws off you, he's super cute but not what I'm looking at. That might change later though

Denalidom that colt is adorable but I already have about five champagne appys right now. With the image thing, I had to use the address then add a space in the image text, past then delete the extra spaces

    See :D image
