Searching for Ice 6 horses for examples, I noticed that I6 does not show up orange as a closed gene

I believe its a private gene, not closed. Hold on, Lemme go look at the FAQs

Yep. Its private, not closed.. Which I believe means you can do whatever you want with it? I'm not too sure.

What it says

"There are a few genes owned exclusively by individual members of the game. The use of these genes is based on the discretion of the gene owner. Some genes are private on HJ1 and closed on HJ2."

It's part of the new license system, though: maybe something got changed and messed it up?

According to Ammits post on the fb page this morning, this is the first time Ice 6 has been offered for sale on server 2. It’s possibly linked to that.

It’s not private on HJ2, it’s closed. The FAQ needs to be updated.

You need to have a licence for it, ice4, 7 and 3 are the same I think but they aren't orange either

Oh it's closed alright.lol here's a new glitch. I have just bought the gene and wasn't added yet as an owner if the gene and I can't breed to my own stallion
The sire or dam of this horse has a closed gene which you do not own the license for (Ice 6). You must purchase a foundation horse with this gene to breed it. :))

It’s most likely because Ammit is having to go in and hand input the genes currently. It’s pretty time consuming, so she might not have gotten all the corresponding gene licenses sorted yet. I would give it a day or two while she is trying to get it fixed, and then maybe send her a PM. I’m sure it’s on her list of things to get to.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I'm not urgent to breed this handsome fellow, but I thought I would give her some time to sort it out before pinging her. ;)

I'm in the same boat with my ice 6 boy. I also bought 2 copies of nexus for 2 horses and only got 1 per horse. I figure I'll give Ammit some time to get everything working right before I worry about it, though. If I don't have them in a week or so, I'll pm her.
